The magnificent town of Sintra is entirely magical and full of splendor - a romantic realm where majestic palaces, a castle of fairy tales, royal properties and fascinating mansions emerge in the midst of hills and lush forests.

Characterized by its charm and natural serenity, Sintra offers scenarios of an amazing beauty, with its wide rocky mountains, dense vegetation and pristine beaches. For five centuries, the Portuguese royalty used its sumptuous mansions and luxury properties as summer residences to enjoy the fresh air and the cool microclimate of the mountains, escaping the city heat. Once described by the English poet Lord Byron as "Glorious Eden", this dream and fantasy land continues to attract great writers and film directors, who find inspiration in both the incomparable beauty of Sintra and in its legends and history.

The historic center of Sintra is an open air museum, filled with magnificent treasures such as the luxurious gardens, the Capuchin Convent of the eighteenth century, Monserrate Park and many museums.

The National Palace is in the historical center, impressive monument, known to be the only royal palace in the country, of medieval origin, which remains intact. The eccentric Pena Palace, one of the major symbol of the Sintra landscape, is considered one of the most original architectural masterpieces of Portugal. Resembles a fairytale palace and displays a fusion of styles Gothic, Manueline, Moorish and Indian. We visited the Serra de Sintra and the SintraCascais Natural Park, on the way to the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca, the 140 meters.
