The Tour of Arrábida - Palmela is a full day tour intended to show you a large natural park, which is located in and around a hill almost 500 meters. The interesting thing about this place is its vegetation, thanks to the peculiar geography of the place, a microclimate here formed which makes it ideal for the Mediterranean, as vegetation growth, contrary to what happens elsewhere in the region. The village of Palmela is especially famous for its wine and has a magnificent castle that stands on top of a hill offering magnificent views of the Capuchin Convent. We stopped in the small town of Azeitão during his trip to the Capuchin Convent (the EN249 road) and savor some of the most delicious sweet wines and muscat district. Most local producers has its own cellars and shops that are open to the public.
 
The district of Setúbal is a great starting point for your holiday in the Lisbon area, where you can fully enjoy the beauty of the Tagus and Sado. Covering the splendid landscapes of the Capuchin Convent and the surrounding vineyards, these estuaries host a rich diversity of waterfowl, as well as the bottlenose dolphin Sado.

Setúbal was a busy port during the Roman occupation and gained new importance when it was conquered from the Moors in 1217 and was assigned status protected by the Order of Santiago. The city became an important economic center thanks to ceramics and fishing industries, having also become a popular vacation resort of the aristocracy during the fifteenth century. Setúbal is closely associated with the life and work of acclaimed poet of the eighteenth century, Manuel Maria Barbosa do Bocage (1765-1805), and the house where he was born is now a museum. Another important figure associated with the city is the opera singer of the eighteenth century, Luisa Todi.

Setúbal district also includes several picturesque fishing ports and unspoiled nature reserves.
